Tank Safe keeps the essentials close at hand: you can reset your password, secure your account with multi-factor authentication (MFA), and sign out safely from any device. This guide walks through each action in plain language so you always know what to expect.

Reset your password

Tank Safe accounts do not currently support self-service password resets. If you lose access, follow these steps:

1. Contact your organisation's Tank Safe administrator or IT support team.
2. Ask them to reset your password from the Supabase Dashboard (Authentication ▸ Users ▸ Reset Password).
3. Watch your inbox for the Supabase reset email, then follow the link to set a new password.
4. Sign back in with the updated credentials once the reset completes.

No admin nearby?

Let your supervisor know right away. Administrators can also revoke active sessions from Supabase if you suspect your account was compromised.

Turn on multi-factor authentication (MFA)

Adding an authenticator app gives your account an extra layer of protection. Administrators can require it, but you can also opt in early.

1. Open the Admin menu and choose Settings.
2. In the Security tab, select Set up MFA.
3. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app such as Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, 1Password, or Authy.
4. Enter the 6-digit code from your app and confirm to finish enrolment.

MFA every time

Multi-factor authentication is required at each sign-in. Keep your authenticator app handy so you can enter the 6-digit code whenever you log in.

Managing your factors

• Lost phone or new device? Contact an IT Administrator to revoke your old method so you can create a new one.
• Need to verify someone else's MFA status? Administrators can review the MFA column on the Admin ▸ Users page.
• Trouble signing in with MFA? Ask an administrator to reset your factors so you can enrol again from scratch.

Sign out safely

When you're done, sign out to close your session especially on shared computers.

1. Select your avatar (top-right corner of the screen).
2. Choose Sign out from the menu.
3. Wait for the confirmation toast before closing the browser tab.
